Dr. Ramesh Agarwal

Dr. Agarwal has over 30 years of experience in quantitative analysis and applied mathematics.  He has developed investment methodologies and techniques during the past 20 years by analyzing market data trends. Prior to Kinetic Financial, Dr. Agarwal worked at IBM Research for 30 years.  In 1997, Dr. Agarwal was appointed an IBM Fellow by Lou Gerstner, the highest technical achievement one can achieve at IBM. He is considered one of world’s leading experts in data mining, establishing advanced algorithms to analyze trends in massive amounts of data.  He holds over a dozen patents and has published over 100 papers in various journals for his research in engineering, science, and mathematics.

Dr. Agarwal received a B.Tech. (Hons.)  degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay. He was the recipient of The President of India Gold Medal. He received M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Rice University and was awarded the Sigma Xi Award for best Ph.D. thesis in Electrical Engineering. In 1974, he received the Senior Award from the IEEE ASSP group, for best papers. He has received several Outstanding Achievement and a Corporate Awards from IBM. In 2001, he received a Distinguished Alumnus Award from IIT Bombay. Dr. Agarwal is a Fellow of IEEE.

Dev Gupta
Director & Co-Founder
Mr. Gupta has over 14 years of executive sales management and engineering experience in the high-tech and financial industries.  In the mid 90’s, Mr. Gupta founded ZoomLink Technologies, a consulting firm to provide financial modeling and software development expertise for financial institutions such as GMAC, Black Rock, and Risk Monitors.  The firm also helped Prodigy launch their Internet service called Prodigy Internet. In the late 90’s, Mr. Gupta worked for Webvan managing their optimization technologies for transportation logistics.  During the past 5 years, Mr. Gupta has held senior executive sales management positions at Kabira and Grand Central Communications. He holds a B.S. degree with distinction in Systems Engineering and Operations Research from the University of Virginia, Charlottesville.
