Small Model Portfolio
The Small Model Portfolio is designed to manage portfolios between $20K and $150K.
If you choose to invest less than $40K of your money, we recommend investing in a subset of the funds in the portfolio instead of reducing each position.
This will help control transaction costs in relation to the size of the portfolio.
Transaction costs for smaller portfolios represent a larger percentage of the portfolio
and therefore impact total performance more dramatically. The Small Portfolio started
with $40K on Oct 1, 2006.
Medium Model Portfolio
The Medium Model Portfolio is designed to manage portfolios from $150K to $450K
If you were following the Small Model Portfolio and your assets have grown to larger than $100K, we recommend transitioning to the Medium Model Portfolio. Larger portfolios can handle more mutual fund positions without having transaction fees hamper performance. The Medium Portfolio started with $125K on Oct 1, 2006.
Large Model Portfolio
The Large Model Portfolio is designed to manage taxable portfolios greater than
$450K. The Large Portfolio started with $500K on Oct 1, 2006.
